Re: ColorQube 8570 - Unidentified stick message on old previously working ink

For anyone else who runs into this problem — the solution was to brute force the cyan stick off the melting plate (it was stuck for some reason).

Once the stick could be moved, I slid it out of the machine, and simply reinserted it (all while powered on).

Once I reinserted the stick, the printer recognized it and went back to operating as expected (slow, smelly and loud).

ColorQube 8570 - Unidentified stick message on old previously working ink

Product Name: ColorQube 8570
Operating System: Windows 10

As the subject says.

We recently installed a new magenta stick, which loaded fine - but now the machine does not recognize slot 2, cyan (which is low, if that matters).

That cyan stick has been in there for a long time and, up to now has operated properly.

The exact message is, "Remove unidentified cyan ink stick (slot 2)"

Unsure how to proceed. Thanks for any help.
