Hello smschulz,
I searched our online knowledgebase and it appears that this is a service issue. I would recommend calling your local Xerox Support Department for more assistance.
ORIGINALLY had ERROR 93,984,00 5781? which was supposed to be the CYAN related.
Tried cleaning up and instpecting but ended up removing the printhead to inspect and clean.
After cleaning up a bunch of overflowing ink I reinstalled the printhead.
THEN got ERROR: 99,059,00 5781.
Looked up and went back in and reinserted the ZIF cable and retried> SAME ERROR (99,059)
Went back and uninstalled the printhead again and carefully reinserted all the cables > SAME ERROR.
At this point I guess it is a bad cable, bad printhead or both.
IF I get another printhead is there any programming involved?
Should I just buy a new cable first and try it?
What worries me I have only seen Refurbished cables so I a leary about used cables.
I saw a Vid on where someone was using some jumpers on an installation.
WHY?
Is it necessary?
Don't want to invest another $300 if this won't work although I love the printer.
I am an IT guy although not especially experienced in printers but have some clients with this same printer I could service if the occasion arises.
Thanks
