Trying reseting the NVM vaules for sample/starter ink blocks on Y and see if the block is accepted.
I am having the same issue with a Magenta solid ink on a ColorQube 8580n. I replaced several inks that took without incident until this one ran low. I have cleaned the ink bay with denatured alcohol and tested all moving parts; they work. I have checked matching region (NA), metering (not), and according to a comment on this thread:
http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Hardware/Colorcube-8580-Stick-sensor-problem-ink-can-not-slide-dow...
I buffed the ink to a sheen with no change in results. I also upgraded the firmware with no change. The exact error is simply:
"Ink was added while the power was off. Please open & close ink loader door C to detect ink."
This error occurs even though the machine was not powered off when ink was inserted. If I remove the ink cartridge and close the door it says Magenta is low. If I reinsert the ink and close the door, this error repeats. What should I do?
Hi napiwatchart,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at this solution for ink stick not loading issues. If this does not help to resolve the problem please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Just bought the ColorQube 8580 and proceed to install the printer today. It work fine out of the box but when I try to fill ink chambers, all ink sticks work except Yellow stick. The gate just won't open. I first tried with yellow stick in the free kit that came with the printer, then I opened two more boxes of genuine Xerox yellow ink stick (108R00928) to try, 5 sticks total and none of them work.
Updated to the latest firmware and still no avail. I found a similar thread about the problem with region code, my printer is set to NA and on the box of my ink sticks said it's intend for use and sale in North America so I dont think it's the very same problem.
Any one has the same issue?
