Thank you for using the Support Forum.  Please take a look at the solutions for power issues.  Also make sure that the power cord is plugged securely into the machine and the outlet.  If the problem continues please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

ColorQube 8580DN Shutting Off Completely

Hello,

 

I work at a small business and we currently have a ColorQube 8580DN. This printer, after lack of use, will typically enter sleep mode. This is easily undone by hitting the power button and then the printer begins to print whatever job was sent.

 

A few weeks ago, I noticed that when I came in to work the printer was completely off. It was not in sleep mode. None of the buttons worked, no lights were on, it was as if it had died. I noticed that the power switch was stil flipped to "on" so I flipped it off, and then back on and it completely restarted - it didn't just wake up. I figured it was a freak thing, until the next morning it was off again.

 

After about a week, I decided to switch outlets to see if that would help. I came in today and it was indeed back in sleep mode. A few people printed, I checked again, and everything was OK. A few hours later it was completely off again.

 

There is no error code or notification.

 

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?
