I believe my 8870 has the same problem.
For $50 it's worth a try.
Once I open the printer will it be obvious how to replace this part? Or can you provide some guidance?
I actually was able to get a hold of the service manual. In this manual it has me check the resistance on the Drum Temperature sensor. I have found that the drum temp sensor is not giving me any resistance. I am going to replace this part first. Then if that doesnt work I will need to check the drum assembly itself.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the 94,536.00 on a ColorQube printer before. All Xerox's site has to say about it, is that it is a "temperature based problem" but does not give me any specifics. I have to turn the printer off for about 45 minutes and then it will work again for a few print jobs, but then show the error again. I have the printer in a well ventilated area and the temperature of the room is within operating temperatures.
