Joe - thank you!
We installed both, and after the second was installed, we were able to print to the ColorQube.
We have not needed these extra resources with our other Phaser printers. I spoke to multiple tech support people, and much ink was wasted before getting to this point.
Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Hi MCArt,
XP is missing some needed stuff to work with the Xerox drivers, Vista and above all have the required resources.
install either the Microsoft XML Paper Specification Essentials pack, http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11816 , or .net frame work version 4 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 to correct this issue.

We got a new ColorQube 8580 printer but cannot print to it. Had a technician come to fix start-up problems, and he was eventually able to print from a Win7 laptop. We tried different ports, connection types, all the drivers. Printer installs but when we try to print we get an instant failure message. We have had 2 other Phaser printers w/o this problem. Everyone's best guess is a Windows XP issue - even though the printer is said to be compatible. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
