Colorqube 8900 Boot Looping After "Successful" AltBoot Restore

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi All,

I have a Colorqube 8900 which would not react in any way when an update was delivered via CIMS.  Attempting to update normally via USB resulted in a failure halfway thru the "Network Controller" portion of the upgrade.  Afterwards, the device would power on, boot, and warn me the Network Controller was not working properly.

I "successfully" completed an AltBoot restore with the latest available DLM file, and the Colorqube displayed a message advising to remove the USB key and hit "0" on the hard panel.  All components had green checkmarks and full green progress bars next to them before that screen.  Hitting 0 rebooted the printer.

Since then, the device will not boot past the green startup screen.  It will remain on the green screen for ~10 minutes, power off, then back on, repeating the cycle.

I have attempted AltBoot-ing the Colorqube with multiple versions of the software, but the machine displays "Software Upgrade Error" and "Press 0 on the hard panel to retry."

I am stumped and the thing seems bricked.  Is there anything I can do to fix this?  Thanks in advance for your help!
