I have a 7970i, and it had been rebooting intermittently for the past month or so, which I have been ignoring.
It now won't boot to a usable point. The screen stays dark, and all the front panel lights are on and solid green. The seven segment display near the ethernet port shows 5. From what I could find online, 5 indicates a corrupt SD card.
So, what can I do to get this working again? I have other 4GB SD cards, but I don't have the image for the 7970i, nor do I have another 7970i from which to get the image. I do have a 7855, if that will help me in any way. Can I use the SD card (with 7855 software) in the 7970? Or is there somewhere that I can get the image and try and rewrite it on either of the SD cards (from the 7970 or the 7855)?

Every machine model have their own image on the SD card, so you cannot move from one model to another. For example you cannot install either from 7855 to 78355 (different speed model). Otherwise you can clone the SD image from another known working 7970 machine.
Normally you must order SD card for your machine and the part no. is 237E27502.

Where can an SD card be purchased from. I have an Xerox 7970 Workcentre.
