I didn't imply there was a solution, my 2nd sentence gave the next step, which heavily relies on you knowing hardware diagnostics, or a service contract to get it fixed.
Luckely I managed to 'blindly' setup an IP address. So I can now use the webinterface to check for errors.
I don't see any solution for my problem in your reply. Does this mean there is nothing to do about this?
I think the control panel broke down during a thunderstorm.
Sadly even diagnostic mode would need a menu to use. If the screen doesn't work there is nothing you can do short of opening the hardware and testing it out at the hardware level.
At least you can use CWIS to view most of the messages and a good chunk of the printer settings. No help for copier settings though.
I hope you can help me with this. I am very happy with my Phaser 7400, but at the beginning of this week my display stopped working. It shows only the backlight, but nothing else. The printer still prints, but I am unable to change settings or to see what's wrong if there's a paper jam or something.
Turning the printer on/ off doesn't help unfortunately. Is there anyone who can help me?
Kind regards, Saskia
