Does anyone know of a retired Xerox technician in Los Angeles?
Thank you.
I'm in saint John NB Canada. You would need to call Xerox to get a technician.
Hello,
Do you know of any retired technicians who can service the old Fiery EX12 printer in Los Angeles?
Thank you!
Very helpful information. Thank you!
I'll try to resuscitate that Fiery and see how it goes.
Wireless is unlikely in any case.
The DC12 is copier only unless attached to a RIP, in your case it is an EX12, which means it is a Fiery made by EFI.
Most likely that makes it a Windows based Fiery, which would mean that it runs either Windows NT, or Windows XP, dependant on revision and time purchased. If NT, I doubt you would find a way to put it in a wireless only environment.
If there is no keyboard, monitor and mouse attached to the Fiery it probably has no FACI kit (Enables the use of keyboard monitor and mouse) but try it anyway to see what is failing. You cannot use the DC12 online without a RIP, and you can't build one, they are made using some proprietary hardware. The DC12 had a Fiery, or Splash. If you could find one you could use it, but due to age, that won't be an easy task.
Long story short, the Fieyr is a PC, hook up a monitor and keyboard and see what happens. If it is literally dead, swap out the power supply and see what happens and keep working your way down the line.
Hello Xerox Community - I'm consulting for a friend that has a small business full of PC's that belong to a museum. I'm trying to help her upgrade to modern life. I have no problem dealing with the PC's and servers, but her XEROX machine I have no clue about and never dealt with.
So asking some very novice questions. She has a DocuColor12 that seem to be working, but the controller (I think that's what its called), the EX12 is completely dead. If someone can give me some information on this machine that comes with the printer? Can I take a regular PC and put some XEROX software on it so that it acts like that controller? I was told that the only way the printer will work wirelessly is with this EX 12 machine. Or does it have to be that specific machine, and I'll need to buy a new one?
Appreciate all the help I can get.
