Hi dep825,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. We can not recommend that you paint the machine.  Please make sure you are using the AutoCrop to original feature to crop out the dark areas automatically.  Information on this feature are available in the User Guide.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Documate 3220

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

The upper platten (or whatever it is called) on the Documate 3220 is colored black. This is senseless because it results in there being a black edge around docs that do not fill the scan. My previous Documate (510?) had a WHITE upper platten....this makes all the sense in the world. WHY did they make the 3200 black? Mind numbing decision.

 

How can I paint white? What type of spray paint? Epoxy? Enamel? How thick? Any risks?
