Hi Joe
Thanks for info, i've now decided to go another route to add some finishing to my setup (also finding the right interface module jgw-1 would be difficult) but appreciate your reply.
Hi nerrad65
It should work fine as it is a D-series finisher.
I have documentation saying the Serial numbers should be starting with
XVE = PROF FIN W/2/3 HOLE PUNCH, STPLR, BKLT MAKER
XVG = ADVANCED FINISHER W/2/3 HOLE PUNCH
YBF = BOOKLET MAKER FINISHER
YBH = STANDARD FINISHER
But that being said, I ahve 2 560's and they have finshers with serial numbers starting with
MGA (Has c-z fold)
So probably the finishers in the D-series are all identical hardware and have a different interface cable that can be converted.
So, what you need to do is consult the owner/seller and find out the serial number of the finisher (first 3 digits at least)
Report back with those 3 digits and I will see if I can get you a confirmation that it can be used, and if there is somethiong else needed, I can tell you before you step into an investment.
Hi nerrad65,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I am not aware of the machine being compatible with any third party finishers. Please take a look at the finisher specifications. If this does not help or you have additional questions please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi
I am a small work from home print shop running a Xerox 550. I have been looking at finishing options and may be able to obtain a LFN-7 finishing unit. Will this work with my 550?
Thank-you for any replies
