Hello Luca_Ang,
I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797.
Dear all,
I'm experiencing an issue with my Xerox WC 7830i.
I notice, as many of you, that one fan is always on even if the printer is in standby mode.
Using Wireshark I identify a possible issue when mDNS is active (because it is needed for Airprint): if the Airprint is active (and consequentially also mDNS is active) the printer reply everytime to mDNS requests via multicast address and for this reason a fun (I don't know really which one) is always on (maybe the one suppling the motherboard)!
So, as workaround, I set the printer on my iMac without using the Airprint driver (using ip and driver provoded for the LAN connectionby Xerox) and disable the mDNS on printer.
The problem is that I cannot print from mobile devices (IoS or Android) because Airprint and Mopria can't be used if the mDNS has not been enabled.
Is there the possibility to have Airprint and Mopria enabled, overcoming the fact that the fan is always on?
