Your instructions say
The Enable does not exist in my printer. I need to totally reload the software in the printer and start over. I can run FWDLMgr and that where the printer says unautorized user and then after the file for 61.68.81 is uploaded, the printer gives the 017-532 error.
Hello PGSSSTu,
I would check this article to make sure you followed all the steps in the EWS before beginning the Firmware upgrade. If that still doesn't help, please call Support and ask to speak to a Network Specialist: 1800-821-2797.
I started using my VersaLInk C600 with a USB Connection. Then the firmware update process failed miserably, totally. When I ran FWDKMgr to upload new firmware, the C600 reported "an unauthorized user is making changes to this device". I was logged in as ADMIN, is there a higher use? When this process completed, the C600 restarted and started to update the firmware. After 12% completion, it fails miserably, File Transfer Error 017-532. And it keeps the firmware at 61:51:71. The new firmware is 61:68:81. Yes I downloaded it again and unzipped it and the ridiculous process failed miserably once again. Then, I bought a 14 foot Cat 6 Network Cable, removed the device and installed that. I then ran FWDKMgr again and the unauthorized user message displayed and after 12% File Transfer Error 017-532. This is a serious XEROX hardware and/or software error and XEROX needs to fix this. No BTW is there anywhere to input what it shows in the Xerox PDF for logging onto the C600 in a web page, all my C600 has is a printer name, no admin info or the other icons shown in the documentation from Xerox - is this simply ideas to maybe implement some year? As a programmer with 37 years of experience, to say I am disappointed is an understatement. So here are my questions: 1 - How do I update my C600 to work like is shown in the Xerox .pdf instructions for updating your firmware. 2 - How do I clear out the C600 memory so that firmware update process works correctly? 3 - Yes I reset the C600 many times not logged in and logged in just to be thorough.
