Re: Firmware update

Thank you for your reply, Cheryl. Sadly, that firmware comes through as a .bin file with an error message that it is an "unsupported format" for Mac OS. Is there a Mac version?

Re: Firmware update

Hi Stronab,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. First you need to update to the Bridge Firmware. After installing the bridge then you can install the latest firmware.  You can find the installation instructions HERE.  Download the instructions and then upgrade to the bridge and then the latest firmware.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Firmware update

Product Name: VersaLink C600 Printer
Operating System: macOS 11 - Big Sur

My Versalink C600 is three years old and is connected via wifi to an iMac running Mac OS11 Big Sur. I update the drivers regularly and easily, but updating the firmware has defeated me since ever I bought the printer.
It is still running the same 61.31.81 that was loaded on it when it came out of the box. Current firmware is now multiple iterations ahead (61.66.11) and I am getting left behind.
My tech knowledge is not good enough to know how to get past the dreaded "cannot connect" message that keeps appearing on the printer screen and on the printer's web page.
Would some kind soul give me an idiot's guide, please?
