Thank you for your instructions. Getting to the meu is tricky. Two fingers on 'Special' and then tap the home key. See the youtube video for help.
@TDS wrote:Anyone care to respond to this? I'm having this identical issue after the automated firmware update failed from the control panel. Same exact error.
I attempted to use the Windows firmware utility to install the latest firmware service pack, but it says that "the firmware selected doesn't match with the device" despite it being the correct one.
Hello
Thank you for sharing here well If the software / firmware upgrade fails, a popup message will display on the computer.Access the printer's Embedded Web Server and log in as administrator. For additional information, refer to Access the Printer as a System Administrator. Click System, then Software Update. Check that Software updates are enabled.
Trying to load the 'Bridge' firmware, get through the:
Special Boot Menu, Special Boot Menu 1/3, Download Mode and then Yes to confirmation.
At this point I just get a blue Xerox screen with --BOOT MODE-- at the the top in yellow text. It just sits there forever.
Any new information on the firmware?
Replacing the ESS board and starting up the machine gives a Bootlog error.
Tried doing the software but it gets stuck at 12%. The indication circle stops turning and the stuck stops responding. Tried different sticks and got a 2nd new baord results stay the same. Replacing the old baord machine starts up and works fine.
Any Ideas? This is on the Versalink C7025 followed instructions to the letter on both Problibro and on the Edocs.
Okay, here's how to fix this. You'll need the latest firmware for your printer model. You can download it from the support page. Extract it to your computer. You'll need the *.bin file in the zip you downloaded. You'll also need an empty FAT32 formatted USB drive.
