Having a problem with workcentre 7545 accepting a new ip address

Gm, I am having a problem changing the IP addres on a Xerox Workcentre 7545. When i log in as an administrator, change the IP address along with the subnet mask and gateway and then reboot after saving changes, the machine reverts back to the old ip address previously on the machine. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
