Hello Coho45,

I found on page 42 of the User Documentation that code, and it says to:

Switch OFF the Main Power. Wait approximately 5 seconds. Then switch ON the Main Power. If the Status Code continues, call for service.

L1 Code

Product Name: Xerox XC1040 Copier

Wife's XC 1040 has worked well for years. Today she tried copying and "L1" code came up. Turned machine off and restarted. Got a sound and code reappeared. How to clear code.
