You would need to contact support at 1-800-821-2797 to reset the printer back to factory defaults.

MFC405 Factory Reset / Clear NVRAM

Howdy, folks!  I have an MFC405 that I bought from a prior employer when they closed shop, and need to either reset the password, or do a factory reset to get the default password back and start over.  Not sure how to do that.  Can anyone help?
