Re: Missing the Initialization kit

Are you in the U.S.? if so, please send me a private message with your company information, machine serial number, model number, and the Xerox partner that you purchased the device from. I'll see if I can escalate the issue internally. If you are not in the U.S. you will need to reach back out to the Xerox partner and see if they can elevate the issue through their Xerox contacts.

Re: Missing the Initialization kit

I went to the Software Activation Portal and enter the machines serial number, it came back with this message:The above serial number does not support Digital Activation Code delivery. Please verify the serial number you entered, or enter the Activation Code supplied in the blue System Enablement booklet.

What could be the problem? Please help.

Re: Missing the Initialization kit

Hi saeedman,  I'm not an expert on this process and I could be mistaken but, it is my understanding that if the device was ordered correctly, Xerox should have a record of the enablement code that goes along with the serial number. You would enter your serial number on the Software Activation Portal and and then you should be presented with the enablement key.

If that does not work, and you purchased the device from a Xerox Authorized Reseller, have them contact the license support line to see if they can help. The authorized reseller should know the number to call or they can use their Xerox contact to help them find the number.

Missing the Initialization kit

Product Name: VersaLink B7025/B7030/B7035
Operating System: Not Specified

I recently purchased a Versalink B7135 when I try to start the machine it asks "Enter Feature Initialization Key".

I did not have this code and when I asked the seller, he said, "the kit was supplied with the machine". Back and forth to make the story short the seller says you have misplaced it and I say it was not in the box. Now I am stock with a machine that is useless. The seller asks for an amount equat to half the price of the machine in order to give me a replacement code!

question: Is the code supplied originally good for use with another serial number?

how come Xerox does not keep a record of this codes? and why can't they look it up and give me the code?

I do have the sales recipt that shows I paid for the machine. The seller which is a Xerox Partner is refusing to help me with this issue. Can Xerox give me any help?
