Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have escalated the issue and should have answer and hopefully a resolution in the next 5 - 10 business days. We will post here as we know more.
Hello
Jumping on this thread.
My 6510 embedded web also shows Current Version: 64.50.61
The instructions for the upgrade instruct me to install the Bridge 64.59.11 firmware first, but that seems to require the Mac Firmware Download utility (I am on Mac Big Sur) <Product model>_FW.DMG. I can't find that on my download page on the Xerox website, so really struggling to progress.
I've downloaded the file for the bridge release - which gives me a pdf set of instructions, and a .bin file, which I don't know how to use on the Mac?
Going straight to the current release upgrade fails, of course, but at least that file had the Firmware Download utility for the most recent firmware version (and no way of using the 64.59.11 file, AFAIAA)
Advice welcome!
Thanks
Damien
Hello Mochael,
For more info on the required Service Pack updates, please read our recent blog.
My Phaser 6510DNI is at firmware Ver 64.50.61. I am following the instructions in document PH6510_PL7-R4.pdf to apply two firmware updates to bring me up to v64.66.11. At steps 6 & 7;
6. Browse for the firmware file (*.bin) by clicking Select.
7. Navigate to the location where you downloaded the file, then select the .bin file.
8. Select Install Now.
The instructions show a "Select" button for pointing to the downloaded *.bin firmware update. Unfortunately, my printer's embedded web page System > Software Update, has no such "Select" button.
Is there an alternative method of updating the firmware?
https://forum.support.xerox.com/ states that this set of firmware updates is important.
