I swapped the transfer belt assembly together with the Belt claner assembly with another printer and the problem shifted to the other printer. So one of those units is bad. Since the customer has high volumes of printing ndue to one machine being down , I only had a small window to carry out this test, therefore did not drill down to the actuall separate units. I am thinking most likely the issue is with the transfer belt as this would be logical. Does any one know from experience parhaps?
What kind of paper are you using. It sounds like a transfer issue, but any paper you are duplexing would be thin enough for the transfer, unless it is a unual stock.

When printing duplex, the normal side prints fine and the other side comes out very faint. The faintness has progressed to where its almost not legible. Any ideas?
Thanks
