How about the USB memory? Is it accessed in such a way that it could take some of the burden off the DRAM? No way as a small business owner can I afford to upgrade my ram at that cost. I find it hard to believe anyone is spending that kind of money for a RAM upgrade in a printer at this price point in fact, except for maybe a government agency spending my tax dollars, but that's a totally different forum lol. Anyway, just wondering about the USB memory to get back on topic. Anyone know?
Hi sminer,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I am not aware of any workarounds, but you might want to consult the support centre with the particular application you are trying to use that requires more memory and see if they know of a workaround. Once you get the memory please follow these insructions from the support page for your machine to install the memory.
The only memory upgrade Xerox sells for the 3300MFP is 256MB, for $599. That's more than what we paid for the printer -- and yet somehow they're out of stock.
Does anyone have any workarounds for this? I tried looking for smaller upgrades, but there are none; it's 256MB or nothing. I found only one vendor with the memory module at a lower price, an they too are out of stock. Or is everyone really choosing between simply paying $600 for the memory, or sticking with base memory?
