Paper Tray Jam

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Not Specified

Whenever we replace the paper in our Versalink C405 and try to re-insert the paper tray, the paper lift plate moves up as we are inserting the tray, forcing the paper up and out of the top of the tray.  The tray will not slide in all the way unless forced, and then the copier displays a "paper jam" message and we are unable to print.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and have suggestions on how to resolve the issue?
