It actually took twothings to make it work, but I'm certain the rollers made the difference.  The other was using paper not so slick!

You probably need to replace the feed roller for the tray in question.

Here is how to do so for trays 2-4

Or just clean the rollers in tray 1

This has been an off-and-on problem randomly for a while, but as of now, it's going full steam.

The printer won't pick up paper from the tray.  When this first started, it was because the guide at the back of the tray that holds to paper against the front, would slip, and the paper would move away.  Then the paper couldn't be picked up.  As long as I repositioned the guide, the paper would be fine.  Now, however, even with the guide as tight as it can get on the back of the paper, the paper is not being picked up.  I can hear the rollers that are supposed to move a sheet working, but they just keep going and no sheet makes it into the paper path.

Is there anything else I can do?  Is my only option sending the printer off to repair?  Thanks in advance for any assistance.
