Re: Persistent Print Quality Issues with Versalink C415 Printer

Device > tools > troubleshooting> support pages> repeating defects page.

Does this job print in black and white or in colour? If it prints in colour, is the defect in all colours or onluly one colour? If it prints b&w, go to the device IP> properties> services> printing> general and change default from b&w to colour, reprint repeating defects page in colour.

Does the toner rub off or is it fused to the page?

On the green settings in your driver make sure toner saver isn't turned on.

You can oncrease the darkness in the copy app.

Toner won't likely cause this issue.. likely either drums, fuser, or belt. Depending on if its one colour or all colours and also if the toner rubs off or is fused to the paper.

Persistent Print Quality Issues with Versalink C415 Printer

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

I hope you're all doing well. I recently acquired a Versalink C415 printer for my office, and I've been facing consistent print quality issues from the start. Despite calibrating the printer and ensuring that the firmware is up to date (currently running version 120.028.003.20001), I'm still encountering problems.

The main issue I'm facing is that the prints often come out with streaks and smudges, making them look unprofessional and illegible in some cases. I have tried various troubleshooting steps such as cleaning the printheads, checking the ink levels, and even using different paper types, but the problem persists.

Moreover, I noticed that the printer tends to produce faint or faded prints, especially when printing grayscale or color documents. This is quite bothersome as it affects the overall quality of our office documents and presentations.

I've spent a considerable amount of time researching online and reading through the printer's manual, but I haven't come across anyone experiencing a similar issue. Hence, I'm reaching out to this forum hoping that someone could shed some light on this matter. Has anyone encountered persistent print quality issues with the Versalink C415? If so, were you able to find a solution or any suggestions to improve the print quality?

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for your assistance.
