We have a Phaser 3600 at our school that has gone insane. It just got back from IT for cleaning (it had a bunch of toner spilled inside), and since then it prints 15X any job sent. Send 1 job - get 15 copies. Send a print '2' job, get 30 etc.
I downloaded the latest firmare from xerox.ca and updated the printer - no effect. Have fresh install of Mac OSX lion, and updated the print drivers - no effect. Other computers (all macs, on a bonjour network) running different operating systems have the same result.
