Re: Phaser 4510

danny, I wish I could help, but I've spoken to the engineers and they don't have any documentation that I could provide for you.  I'll ask again and see if there's anything that they can do to help.

Re: Phaser 4510

I've asked around and unfortunately, we do not have any documentation for this procedure.  You might be better off taking the new part to the nearest Xerox Authorized Service Provider for installation.  I'm sorry that I couldn't be of any more help.

Re: Phaser 4510

Yes, I have a replaced a new toner from a unopened box and after putting it in. I still get please replace toner. As I previous stated I think its a sensor issue so I order The part since it is out of warranty. There a cable attached inside with 4 different colors. I unplug and earplug to see if that issue resolved. But The wires at The end is not attach to anything . Maybe I broke it? Now I need The manual or Any kind of help to install The sensor. I am beginner at this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The printer cannot print after a new toner is replaced due to that message.

thanks

Re: Phaser 4510

Hello danny,

Ok, you were able to get your machine upgraded to the 4.12 firmware, that's good news.  Now, you also mentioned that you installed a new toner, but are still seeing the message to replace it.  Did you put the new toner cartridge in AFTER you performed the upgrade?  This is very important, because there is a chip in the toner cartridge remembers it's faulted state and there isn't anything that you can do about that so you can't use that toner cartridge anymore.  You MUST use a brand new cartridge after you upgrade your firmware.

Please let me know if that is what you did or not.  If you did use a brand new toner after the upgrade and you still get the message to replace it, then I'll need just a little more information (from your Start Up page - if you can print one.)

John
