Thanks for the suggestion. We tried it and it did not solve the issue. We ended up calling Xerox and they told us that they sent us the wrong toners. The two that we received were for an other country.

Try starting the machine without toner installed and reinstall the toner after the message comes up on the printer and see if that helps.
If you know that its a genuine toner and it does not work it could be the sensor.

We have a Phaser 4600 that we have used for a year or two now. We are at the end of our second toner cartridge. It is completely empty so I replaced it with a new Xerox 4600/4620 Toner cartridge and the printer did not accept it. It says "Replace with Xerox toner cartridge". We get our supplies directly from Xerox soooo I don't see why it wouldn't accept it. We have a 2nd spare new cartridge that we tried and we get the same error.
Any help would be much appreciated! thanks!
