Hi,

It looks like the belt cleaner is with the problem. Try to take out the belt and remove the cleaner to clean it.

Phaser 6180 MFP yellow smear

Product Name: Phaser 6180MFP
Operating System: Apple iOS

I've been getting yellow smears all along one side of my page, and having opened the printer I can see why it's happening.  What are the recommended steps to clean?

Is the shiny surface at the bottom the Imaging Unit?  The Phaser 6180 manual on the Xerox site has a different illustration. If so does it need replacing, or can it be cleaned with a lint free cloth?  Should I replace the yellow cartridge entirely?

Also, where in the Printer Panel menu can I access Troubleshooting?  Does the Clean Smearing option exist for the 6180?
