Re: Phaser 6510 IP Address Failed

You might want to double check and see if "Wireless" is selected as the primary connection mode.

Also, is the IP address set as a static or is it using DHCP?  It may be having a conflict with another device even if working.

Select a Primary Network (Ethernet or Wi-Fi)

  1. At the printer control panel, press the Menu button.

    Press the Menu button

NOTE: To navigate through the menu, use the Up and Down arrow buttons.

  2. Navigate to Admin Menu, then press OK.
  3. Navigate to Network/Port, then press OK.
  4. Navigate to PrimaryNet Select, then press OK.
  5. Select Ethernet or Wi-Fi, then press OK.
  6. Press the Menu button, and then wait for the machine to restart. The machine must restart for the settings to take effect.

Phaser 6510 IP Address Failed

Product Name: Phaser 6510
Operating System: Linux

We recently got a Phaser 6510 for our warehouse.  The printer is working fine.  We have it hooked up via the wireless connection.  The problem is that it has been saying IP Address Failed ever since we first turned it on.  I am sure that it has something to do with the ethernet port.  How to I make this message go away??  There really is no reason for it to show that message, when it was initially hooked up via USB (we had to wait for our IT guy to get back into town to get it set up wirelessly).  If anyone has any ideas, your input will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
