Re: Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

This just worked for our (barely) three-year-old 7500DT which had the same 'printer warming up' loop.

Thank you!

Re: Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

Thanks, Joe. This seems to have solved my problem. I'll need to do more testing tomorrow, but initially it is working fine.

Re: Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

Sounds like corruption, which would likely mean a tech would be needed.

I would run an NVRAM reset, data loss will occur, but it may recover it.

Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel until 'Troubleshooting' is selected on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Service Tools' is selected, and then press the [OK] button.
Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Reset NVRAM' is selected, and then press the [OK] button. The message "Reset NVRAM and Reset the Printer Now" will be displayed.

IMPORTANT: To exit without performing the NVRAM reset, press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button until 'Exit' is selected, and then press the [OK] button to return to the Main screen.

Press the [OK] button. The NVRAM will reset and the printer will reboot.

Re: Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

I tried the first step and it continued to print multiple copies of the Menu Map until I cancelled the job. I went to the next step and it printed a sheet that said, "This printer is not configured to support direct PDF printing. What's my next step?

Re: Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

Hi Gtimes

Try opening CWIS and printing an internal report in order to verify there is not something blocking all output.

If that works, move on to submitting through CWIS by uploading a print ready file through it (pdf)

And if that works it would appear the issue is either driver, or port related. To quickly check that swap the driver port between RAW and LPR to verify. Raw is port 9100 (HP Jet Direct if on a Mac) and LPR is port 515, queue name is "lp" ,(Lower case of LP)

Last step is totally reinstall the driver freshly downloaded from Xerox.com with a new port.

Phaser 7500DN doesn't stop warming up

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I've started up our Phaser 7500. It warms up and then says it is ready to print. I send a print job to it. The print driver window indicates that it was 100% spooled. The printer's message window says, "Warming up. Please wait." It never finishes warming up and doesn't print the job.
