Phaser 8500 won't power up after "head park error"

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

After I loaded some paper into my Phaser 8500, the display said something like "Head park error - press OK to shutdown".  I pressed OK.  It shut down.  Now it will not power up.

Does anybody know what the problem is, and how serious it is?
