Re: Phaser 8560 RAM error

Hey you!

On this machine you should be having two seats for the RAM-memory, is there no RAM in either one of them ?

Re: Phaser 8560 RAM error

Hey,

Although I assume you have already tried this I advise you to look at it again. Especially the reseat of the modules has some very clear pictures.

If this is not the case I suggest you call support. They might have a solution which could solve it.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know it is not recommended to switch solid ink machine completely off for a longer period of time. The ink has to maintain a certain temperature to ensure it does not become solid again.  This might give a problem with the printhead and the different jets.  Just a small tip

Cheers

Phaser 8560 RAM error

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi,

I shutdown my printer and unplugged it for a week while on vacation.  When I plugged it back and turned it on, I have 'RAM ERROR' on the screen.  I've read the past posts with this issue and I can't access the menu according to their suggestions.  I found a video about replacing the RAM with part: 237E23640.  This video shows the process for replacing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_dIWftwxU4

My problem is that there isn't already a RAM to remove like in the video, so I'm wondering how putting a purchased one in will solve the issue since it didn't have one to begin with.  Any suggestions?  I guess I can always order it and follow the video instructions to see if it works...

It just seems odd.  If you know of any other things I should try before spending the money, please let me know.

Thanks!
