Hello bonvie,
The Phaser 8560 doesn't have a speaker so it cannot beep. With this in mind, have you checked the power source to your machine? If you are plugged into a power strip, you should remove the power strip and plug your Phaser directly into the wall outlet. Are there any other electronic devices near your Phaser 8560 that may be causing the beeping sound that you are hearing?
John
hello, my 8560 has developed a habit of making a high pitched beep in series of 3-5 times, then is quiet for a while, and it starts all over again. i have powered it down, cleaned the waste tray, and it still made the beep, even after it was no longer plugged into the wall outlet! i am almost sure it may be some type of sensor or chip that has gone bad. anyone have any suggestions? i am economically working on a shoestring, so if this is something i can do myself, it would be a godsend. thanks for any advice.
