Hi idf,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Sorry to hear that did not work. One question do you have the machine plugged into a dedicated outlet? If the machine is on a power strip or extention cord you may see this issue. If this is not then answer then please consider contacting support for additional information.
So I tried the setting change but it didn't work. The unit is still doing this like 3 times a day.
There are no other machines that have a driver for it installed.
Does anyone have any alternatives for how to solve this? Its getting pretty annoying to have to get up and turn it off all the time, not to mention the wear and tear of these needless warm up cycles.
Thanks, I'll try this. Curious, what does this setting actually do?
Hi idf,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Try turning off the bi-directional communication that should help. If the machine still wakes randomly then please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi All,
My Xerox C2424 is randomly waking up from sleep mode / power saver mode.
I use this unit at home, so I don't print often, so I want it to stay off until I actually need it.
The unit is networked, so there is no direct PC connection. No other machine is connected.
I read a post about bi-directional comminication. In that setting there is connection, set to automatic, device name which has its tcp ip address, SNMP community name (empty) and refresh rate, 30 seconds.
Can anyone help me with why its doing this? It would be much appreciated!
