Update the firmware, that was a known issue with the VersaLink family of printers
Sorry, I can't imagine how I forgot to add the most important piece of information.
It's a Versalink C405DN Multifunction Printer.
You may want to add what printer, there are more than a few models and the fix will drastically change dependant on that key point of data
Once the printer goes into low power mode it will not wake back up unless you physically walk over to it and press the power button.
The problem affects all users.
I've changed sleep timeout from 1 to 55 and power timeout from 10 to 5, but the problem persists.
