Xerox can't make the printer use less power so you can use an underequipped UPS.
Forward the power requirements of what you need to the manufacturer of the UPS, they will gladly offer you a device that can handle it, neither your UPS's or your printers can be made to work together
Hello
Thank you for reply. Yes I realize it is max but still it should work at least 5 minutes not 10 seconds right?
We checked UPS with other devices and it is working fine. The bigest problem is just with printers (we checked on two of them with same model).
You realize 1200 is a max right? UPS will literally only last for at most minutes anywhere near max
The Eatons documentations states:
Runtime is 4 hours with 0 load
Runtime is 10 minutes at 50% load
Runtime is 6 minutes at 70% load
The printer Averages 526W, which means that is the mid point, if it is actually warming the fuser it will surly go way past that. 70% of 1200 is 840.
You really need to take the printers power specs and supply those to the UPS company and have them tell you what you need.
Hi
Thank you for replay. I've checked it before and I hoped 1200 Watts UPS will handle it but it is not. Any more ideas?
Power ConsumptionRunning (Average)525 watts
Standby Mode 82 watts
Low Power Mode22 watts
Auto off / Sleep mode0.6 wattsWarm up
You need something that can handle those ratings for an extended period
Hi everyone,
I'm new in community and I would like to know how can I connect Xerox WorkCentre 3655i to UPS that it will work or what kinde of UPS I need to buy. I have two UPS one APC Smart UPS RT 1000/2000VAC and secound Eaton Ellipse Eco 1200 both are working just a capple of secounds when I disconnect power. When it is connected to power I can hear in APC that it is overloaded but Eaton is working but when power is disconnected in Eaton after 10 - 20 secounds is off, APC is working longer but still have overloadings. Could you advice me how can I fix this problem?
Thank you in advance.
