Re: Problem with connect to CWIS on Xerox WC550 with Fiery

Jump to solution

Joe, I have a V180, but I think the issue is the same as the one you solved with the Xerox 560.

I followed your instructions; 1) Ethernet speed=Auto 2)IP address resolution=STATIC 3)IP address=100.100.100.101 4) Subnet=255.255.255.0 5)Gateway=100.100.100.102 6) DNS=100.100.100.102 7) Reboot

Machine status confirms, IP address 100.100.100.101

Next enter Fiery IP address (192.168.1.34), gets to the WebTools page.  Bottome right=Xerox Versant 180 Press

I'm still getting "503 Service Unavailable".

Please help, I am desperate,

Ralph

If you modified the default repository then the whole scan setup will be inoperable, the default repository cannot be changed when their is a Fiery.

So make sure the default repository and template pool both match the following:

Protocol............................................................... FTP

o        Host Name / IP Address.................................... 100.100.100.102

o        Port...................................................................... 21

o        File Path.............................................................. <blank>

o        Login Name........................................................ template (lower case)

o        Password............................................................. fX7eWp1a7e (case sensitive)

Once that is complete and after a reboot, combined with the settings in the PDF above, the Fiery logo will come back and work fine.

Then create a new repository and have it go to your 192.168.1.222 location

Check the attached pdf

When connected via crossover are you then going to 100.100.100.101?

Your results are what we typically see when the copier is DHCP and fails to retrieve the IP address, or when someone statically assigns the Fiery IP to the copier.

If this seems relevant to your scenario, try running through the attached pdf to regain control of the copier through the Fiery.

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello!

Sorry for my English.

I have problem with Xerox WC550 with Fiery.

I cannot connect to CentreWare Internet Service.

On Fiery and on machine ip adress is 192.168.1.200.

I can connect to Fiery webtools by ip 192.168.1.200, but when i clicked on link "Xerox CentreWare" i see "Service Temporarily Unavailable".

I connected my network cable into Fiery. Fiery connected with WC550 by crossover cable.

I can connect to CWIS only when i connected my network cable into WC550.
