Re: Problems Getting V180 Working on New Computers

Hello PrinterAmy,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Thanks,

Problems Getting V180 Working on New Computers

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

We have a Versant 180 with an integrated Fiery server.  It worked fine on our old Windows 7 machines, but we've just updated to new computers running Windows 10.  While I can readily set up the printer in the system settings, when we go to print we have one or more of the following issues:

1) When print jobs are sent with default settings, the job never appears in the queue and never prints.

2) When we go to the Fiery print settings dialog and make changes, the job never appears in the queue and never prints.  If we make changes in the Fiery settings and click okay, then reopen the same settings window, everything has reverted back to the default.

3) If we go to the Fiery print settings dialog and choose a print preset, the job appears in the queue and prints.  Similarly, if we go to the Fiery print settings dialog, choose a print preset, then make additional changes in the dialog, the job appears in the queue and prints.

4) No matter what we do, the Fiery print dialog refuses to accept any setting that involves activating the GBC Advanced Punch module.  The job will still print, but it will not be punched.  If we choose the punch in the Fiery print settings, if we click okay and then return to the print settings dialog, the punch is no longer selected.

I assume this is probably an issue originating with Windows 10 somehow, but I am not sure and don't know how to fix it.  I am running the most current Fiery print driver downloaded from EFI, but the same issues were happening with the older print driver available from the Xerox website.  Any ideas?
