Re: Process

Inks are loaded X,K,C,M,Y,X, and the X's are interchangeable (At least Gold, White, Silver are) as an Overlay or Underlay. Clear can only be loaded as an Overlay(last slot in the path).

This pdf has some prints with examples, and admittedly, the examples at first appear to be backwards, because we all read top to bottom, but when you look at the CMYK order, it is clear it should be read bottom to top.(page 2)

Process

Product Name: Xerox Iridesse Production Press
Operating System: Not Applicable
Probably a pointless question. But confused.

In the Iridesse you have 6 stations in this order; underlay, K, C, M, Y, overlay.

But the way the printing process works on the machine is that the first toner laid down is overlay and last is underlay.

How does that work as I would assume underlay first and overlay last?
