Re: Reinsert Cyan ink cartridge and restart/ Remove and Reinstall Drum Cartridge Problems

Hello Xavier,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Thanks,

Reinsert Cyan ink cartridge and restart/ Remove and Reinstall Drum Cartridge Problems

Operating System: Not Specified

Since I got the versalink 405 I have had nothing but problems. I am a home user and printed a few pages every week. Within one month of buying the machine I got the Reinsert Cyan ink cartridge and restart problem. I wasted FOUR genuine xerox toners doing this. It would work for a few weeks then come up with the error message again. Then I tried the instructions Xerox provides to Remove and Reinstall Drum Cartridge Problems (https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/article/en/x_vlc400_en-O3450 / https://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/Reinstall-black-toner-and-restart-device/m-p/227383#M199...)

This worked a couple of times and I could get the printer working again. But then it completely stopped working.

Stupidly I perserved with the reinserting cartridge situation instead of contacting Xerox within the one year warranty period. Now I have a printer which is an expensive door stop. Xerox has given me a quote for repair that is basically the cost of the printer. I wish I had never bought this machine.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to actually fix the problem? The fact I see this problem over and over again in the forums leads me to believe that Xerox knows this is an ongoing problem and does not care. What is most upsetting is the environmental side of this. They are literally producing a machine which they know will end up in the landfill.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
