016-601 is illegal Access Detection
Illegal Access Detection. The number of authentication errors (including CO/KO) within a given
time reached the number specified in system data: ‘Maximum Number of Authentication Errors
(DC131 [700-564])’.
Basically someone is nightly trying to get admin rights to the printer so it locks itself down until reboot. That code has nothing to do with sleep mode.
You can disable the lockout, of course you will still have the person repeatedly trying to gain access
CWIS > Properties > Security > User Details Setup
As for Power Saver:
CWIS > Properties > General Setup > Power Saver Settings
Of course the code is probably because someone updated the firmware to the latest (85.04.51), which would have changed the admin password from 1111 to the serial number of the device, which would cause the issue with getting locked out if you didn't know of that change
We are seeing the device "locking up" after "sleeping" - how to resolve this?
First time lockup was found in the morning of day 1. Machine is black screen after overnight idle. Power Saver button background light is ON which means machine is on power save mode or sleeping mode. But no response when press buttons.
Second time was found at mid day of day 2. Machine went black screen 20 min after used for a scan. All button background lights are OFF. No response when press buttons.
Third time in the afternoon of day 2. Power Saver button background light is ON but no response when press buttons.
What could be causing this?
Thanks.
