Re: SIQA Alignment of Heavyweight Stock

Thanks MRCAnalyst,
Really appreciate the quck reply. Hvae recently moved to the Xerox platform and still learning. Trying to get my head around a few things like SIQA at the moment. Have the alignment sorted ran on a lightweight media and its worked perfect for the 300gsm stock I'm needing to run on.
Appreciate your help.

Re: SIQA Alignment of Heavyweight Stock

Hi Tony_H,

What I do in this situation is to run a tray alignment with a lighter weight stock of the same size from the same tray and save that alignment profile. Then I test that profile on the heavier weight stock. If it aligns properly then we're good. If not then at least we have a baseline alignment that we can adjust manually for fine tuning or apply an image shift in the DFE if it's only off in x/y not the other things that SIQA adjusts for (perpendicularity, magnification, skew).

Re: SIQA Alignment of Heavyweight Stock

Just looking for a solution to the same problem myself. If you complete a SIQA alignment on a lightweight stock will that still work for the heavy stocks or do heavy stocks just have to be carried out manually?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

SIQA Alignment of Heavyweight Stock

Product Name: Xerox Color C60/C70
Operating System: macOS 10.13 - High Sierra

Can I use SIQA to align Heavyweight 4 300gsm stock? When I tried to use auto alignment I could not print the test on that heavy of a paper because it wanted to autoduplex it.
