Scan bed issue then restart

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Using the Xerox 3635mfp.  Had a scanning issue and had to power the machine down.  Powered back up, even after hours being off, the scanning bed starts jerking back and forth for a minute, then the unit restarts.  Then repeats.  What can we do?
