There are pictures showing both locations in my post, if you can't see them, disable your adblocker.
Looking at the back of the printer there is one on the left side.
Looking at the left side of the printer there is one on the right.
Yes the part could be replaced, but my guess would be that the parts/labor will be more than the printer value, which is typical in todays world :-(
Hi Joe
thank you very much for your reply. You speak about TWO locks, whilst I can only identify one, i.e. the one to the left side of the printer (knob as per your indication). Where is the second lock located please?
If the motorhead is at fault, any ideas if this can be repaired?

Assuming neither lock is on you would have a broken scanner.
dear all
All of the sudden I receive the error message "unlock scanhead" on the display of my 8560. The screw to unlock the scanhead is in open position (as it always was).
By restarting the MFP, I don't see the scanhead moving. It remains stuck on the left side.
I imagine it could be the motorhead that is no longer functioning?
Does anyone has any suggestion whatsoever to get this resolved?
Tks + b regards
