Hello charlesdevis,

Sounds like you have tried everything already, so it would be a software escalation: 1-800-821-2797.

Scanner Not Detected - VersaLink C605 and ThinkStation P7 Workstation Compatibility Issue

Product Name: VersaLink C605
Operating System: Windows 10

Product Name: VersaLink C605

Operating System: Windows 10

I hope you're all doing well. I'm facing a rather frustrating issue and was hoping to tap into the collective knowledge here for some guidance. The problem at hand is the VersaLink C605 scanner not being recognized by my ThinkStation P7.

Issue Details:

  • Scanner: VersaLink C605
  • Computer: ThinkStation P7 Workstation
  • Connection: Ethernet

Problem Description: I recently acquired the VersaLink C605 multifunction printer/scanner to streamline my office tasks. However, I've hit a roadblock as my ThinkStation P7 Workstation fails to detect the scanner over the Ethernet connection. The printer functionality works flawlessly, but the scanner seems to be playing hard to get.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Network Connection: I've ensured that both the scanner and the workstation are on the same network subnet. The printer's IP address is pingable from the workstation, indicating network connectivity.
  2. Device Firmware: I've updated the firmware of both the scanner and the workstation to their latest versions, hoping that this might address any compatibility issues. No luck so far.
  3. Driver Installation: I've installed the scanner drivers on the workstation using the provided installation package. The printer driver was already functional, so I thought this might do the trick. Unfortunately, no scanner detection.

The VersaLink C605 scanner's control panel doesn't display any error messages, and it seems to be operating as expected. The network settings on the scanner also seem fine, and it's configured to communicate over the network. The ThinkStation P7 Workstation runs Windows 10 Pro, and all other network-connected devices function normally.

I'm running out of ideas on how to resolve this issue, and I'm hoping some of you might have encountered a similar problem or have insights into potential solutions. If anyone has experience with getting a scanner like the VersaLink C605 to work seamlessly with a ThinkStation P7 Workstation or similar setups, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Please feel free to share any troubleshooting steps, software adjustments, or workarounds that could help in resolving this matter.

Thank You All In Advance
