Re: Supply voltage for 8560MFP

Hello,

I found the service manual in PDF for this printer that shows the following electrical specifications:

Characteristic Specification
                      115 Volt             230 Volt

Primary line voltages 90 - 140 VAC         180 - 264 VAC

Primary line voltage  47 - 63 Hz           47 - 63 Hz
frequency range

Power consumption     1250 W (peak)        1250 W (peak)
                      1000 typical         1000 typical
                      180 W (idle)         180 W (idle)
                      230 W (average       230 W (average
                      during printing)     during printing)

Inside the manual is also:
Prepared By:
Xerox Corporation
XOG Worldwide Product Training and Information
26600 SW Parkway
Wilsonville, OR 97070

So I figured it should be ok to try it, since manual seems to come from the US.

As of this morning, I connected it to 240V. Unit is working fine.

Thanks anyway.

Re: Supply voltage for 8560MFP

Hello CherylO-Xerox.

Spent a lot of time in your knowledgebase. Nothing there about this.

"Contact Us".....I doubt they can answer this.

Well, if they can, let them read this post and answer it.

Isn't this forum, on the support.xerox.com website, read by tech people from Xerox ?

This issue is not solved. I have not tried it.

Is there anyone in here who knows how this power supply works, if it can handle North America's 240V (single phase) and if it will switch automatically to a 240V supply ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Supply voltage for 8560MFP

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

Here we have problems with our machine and these problems were narrowed by the Xerox service tech to: bad supply line voltage.

We have 120VAC and we tried two different source without any success.

The tag behind the printer says: "Ratings: 110V-240V~, 50/60 Hz, 10-5A"

We are in Canada so we can have 240V (which is more or less 230V).

Xerox tech says the power supply is auto switching but this only works in Europe. He says we can't supply the 230V we find here.

I would like to have answers about this.

Thanks a lot.
