Hi,

Try tu use AltBoot method to upgrade your machine. For this:

-Create a folder on a USB thumb drive named AltBoot

-Copy the unzipped firmware file sw#072.xxx.xxx.xxxxx#.DLM into the AltBoot folder

-Power off and insert the USB drive into one USB port of the machine

-Power on the machine and wait for the Software Upgrade screen to appear

The software upgrade may take up to 60 minutes to complete. Folllow the screen instruction to remove the USB drive and to press 0 (zero) button. The system will reboot several times before returning into a Ready state. It is possible a seccond upgrade screen to appear.

Unable to upgrade firmware

Hello all,

Have a WC7830 on 071.010.103.04401

The instructions here in the Xerox WorkCentre 7845/7855 Software Installation Instructions, which is linked on the 7830 support site, state that the first step is to install a patch called 780808v2.dlm

I do the upgrade process and it never does anything.  I've also tried skipping this patch and upgrading to v72 and that also does nothing.  Not sure what I'm even supposed to be seeing.  The instructions say the Web Interface should become non-responsive, but it never seems to. 

Any advice would be appreciated.
