Re: Used WC7225 - PaperOffset calibration

Hello Doemel,

I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.

Thanks,

Used WC7225 - PaperOffset calibration

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello, I bought a used WC7225.

Now I have a few questions and a few problems.

The device was quite cheap as I think, so I bought it and actually makes a great impression. Toner (original) probably completely new at 100%. Counter reading: about 26000 pages. That's nothing for such a device and then it was also so cheap.

Can you manipulate the counter readings from the printer in principle?
The only problem that there was, was the non-existent admin password. Through an AltBoot with Force_Upgrade and Backup_Disabled. I was able to make an update. Before that I backed up the NVM data but did not restore it.

Softwarestand: 073.030.075.34540

Now I have some problems with scanning and printing, but I don't know if it was like this before.

The lateral distance to the edge on the left side is very small and on the right side the offset is about 3-4mm. In the height is not quite so much in. With duplex printing it is about 7mm offset.

Does it make sense to reset the NVM completely, or was this already done during the upgrade? Does the device have to be completely recalibrated afterwards?

Can I calibrate the offset with dc129? Are there any other routines that I should perform in order to adjust the device optimally? Unfortunately I don't have any calibration sheets, can I get them somewhere? Are there any alternatives?

In the service manual it says that trays 1, 2 and 5 should be filled with Din A3 and 2 and 3 with DinA4 - but I only have DIN A4 there, or is that not so important?

By the way, the device crashes when I select "Tray 5" there and restarts completely.

I also have a NVM SETTING VALUE LIST here, it was in the small compartment.

Maybe someone can help me and tell me if it was a good value purchase, or if there may be hidden problems that I should possibly check.

Thanks a lot
